I recently started the 10,000 steps program myself and was amazed that I only normally walk 3000 steps a day. That's pathetic really...might have to make some big changes to get up to 10,000

Great article. Puts into perspective how much walking it takes to get the benefits of 30 minutes of moderate exercise. Personaly I would do the 30 minutes, but for those who are unable to exercise at a moderate level the 10,000 steps is a perfect alternative, great article.

10,000 steps is equivalent to 30 minutes of moderate activity. However, 10,000 steps is also equal to 5 miles. Does this mean I should be able to walk 10 miles in an hour?
