A point I would like to address, which this article doesn’t is that these benefits are only realized if you take an omega-3 fish oil that contains a very high percentage of omega-3. The old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ is no truer in omega-3 fish oils. Cheap products found in retail stores today contain as little at 30% omega-3, the remaining content of 70%, is made up of ingredients like omega-6 (a pro-inflammatory agent), and cholesterol that work against omega-3s. The efficacy of these products and their ability to deliver any benefits mentioned in this article is very debatable. There are omega-3 products available that contain omega-3 concentrations of up to 90%. They are usually more expensive but considering they actually deliver on the benefits they are well worth the extra money!
