I took up Yoga about a year ago after a back injury and since that time i have had hardly any back pain etc. I go to my local sports centre to a class for the over 5o's once a week. But i have now brought myself a mat and practice at home as well. At the session i go to the tutor has started to show us how to do shoulder stands and other moves. The relaxation part of the session is also very good as our tutor has a lovely voice and sings to us to also help us relax. She tells us about lifes stresses and how the so called monkey mind can cause problems with anxiety etc and not to worry about things that aren't that important. I think if you decide to take up Yoga for whatever reason as long as you have an open mind and don't push yourself beyold your abilities you will find it very helpful and relaxing i know i have.
