Maintaining fitness with busy work schedules is difficult. If you are on the trip, then it is almost impossible to maintain workout schedule.
Every one enjoys traveling as it will be more fun. But this may disturb your daily physical activities and your diet. Here are few body building fitness tips when you are on the road.
If you are going for a long trip for office work or any other work, you have to stay at hotel.
Before leaving, you contact the hotel staff and ask whether it consists of a health club, swimming pool or any exercise room.
If you have the choice to choose your accommodation, you can find through internet, which hotel is having all the facilities available.
If the hotel is allotted by the office authorities, then you can plan about fitness workouts before only.
If your hotel consists of swimming pool, you take your own swim suit with you. If your hotel has health club, don’t forget to take comfortable clothes and sports shoes.
If your hotel does not have any facilities to workout, you can bring your own equipment. You can get resistance bands with different elasticity. These resistance bands build muscle with isometric movements. These bands are weightless and you can fold and carry anywhere in your traveling bag and it does not occupy space also. You can carry yoga mat with you to perform yoga in your room. Yoga practice will improve your fitness.
If you don’t want to carry your home exercise equipment, you can workout without the equipment.
Squats: stand with feet shoulder width apart and keep your hands on the hips. Now bend your knees as if you are sitting on the chair that is behind you. Come back to the original position slowly without over straightening your knees. Repeat this exercise for fifteen to twenty times.
Crunches: Lie down on the floor with knees bent and feet hip width apart. Place your hands behind your head and round your elbows inwards. Curl your middle body up and forward until your head, neck and shoulders clear the floor. Hold it for a moment and lower it again to the starting position. Repeat this exercise for fifteen to twenty times.
Dips: Sit on the edge of the chair and keep your hands on either side of you next to your buttocks. Slide yourself from the seat and support yourself with just your hands. Lower slowly by bending your elbows until your upper arms are parallel to the floor and then press yourself back. Repeat this exercise for ten to fifteen times.
You can get out of the hotel and take a walk for twenty to thirty minutes in the parking lot. If there is a good sightseeing around your hotel, you can walk by enjoying the sightseeing. In this way you can workout your body as well as enjoy the sightseeing.
Apart from exercises, you have to watch your diet. You should not eat high cholesterol and high fat food while traveling or in the hotel. You can choose salads and fruits over baked and fried foods. You have to follow healthy diet and exercise to maintain fitness.
Maintaining fitness on the road is a difficult task but it gives a healthy body and stress free life. You should have strong determination to maintain fitness on the road. You have to use all the facilities available in the hotel to keep yourself fit when you are outside also.
