Facial Exercise To Tone The Face Muscles

Facial exercises are used to stimulate blood flow and circulation, relieve tension, and improve overall appearance of the face.

As you get aged, it is normal that your facial muscles become slaggy, slack, and baggy.

Facial exercises promote a smooth and wrinkle free skin. As facial muscles loose firmness, the facial exercise helps in toning the facial muscles.

Facial exercises help in achieving anti aging, youthful, and wrinkle free face.

You can simply massage your face with your hands. Stroke your whole face with both hands across the cheeks and over your forehead.facial exercise

Facial masks can be used to tone your facial muscles. Masks tighten the skin and make the skin healthier while preventing wrinkles. Protective creams are used to keep your skin healthy.

Facial Exercises For Face Muscles:

Forehead: Place your index fingers just above your eyes and pull down your eyes while raising your eyebrows. This facial exercise firms your forehead. Repeat this exercise for ten times.

Lips: Suck on your finger as hard as possible and slowly remove it. Repeat this facial exercise for ten times. This face exercise firms your lips.

Eyes: Sit with your eyes closed and relaxed. While keeping your eyes closed, look down and look up as far as possible. Repeat this face exercise for ten to fifteen times.

Sit straight with your eyes closed and relaxed. Lift your eyebrows and stretch your eyelids down as far as possible by keeping your eyes closed. Keep in this position for a count of ten, relax and repeat it for ten times.

Cheeks: Take your three center fingers and place them on the cheeks and push them down. At the same time, raise your cheeks by smiling as hard as you can. Keep your head back when you are performing this workout.

Neck: Sit straight and tilt your head back looking at the ceiling. Keep your lips closed and relaxed. Move your lower lip over your top lip as far as possible and keep for a count of ten. Relax and repeat for ten times.

Double chin: sit straight in a chair and tilt your head back and look at the ceiling. Keep your lips closed and relaxed. Make your lips round, count up to twenty and relax and bring your head back to the normal position.

Relax Facial Muscles :

  • Open your lips as wide as they can go. Feel your cheeks, chin, and lips stretch to their limit. Hold and release and then repeat. This facial exercise relaxes your muscles of the face, increases circulation, and relieves tension and stress.
  • Take a deep breath at once and exhale forcefully opening your mouth wide and stick your tongue out as far as it will go. Open your eyes and look up. It relieves tension in the face and throat, improves circulation and stimulates the eyes.
  • Pinch your cheeks by taking flesh in your hands and squeeze. It improves blood circulation.

Facial exercises do not take much time and they are economical which helps in achieving healthy and glowing skin.

    Richard, what you can do is, stick two pencils up your nostrils and breathe in.. and try keep them in place! do this 10times a day and u should notice a difference in 2 weeks, i hope this helps!

    Try to close both your eyes at the same time (to save time)using the lower eyelids and keep that position for a few seconds and repeat the same say 50 times. Do this for a few days. Increase duration if you like.
    As with many exercises the more you do the better the results.

  15. Whether myth or not, facial exercises can benefit problems with the jaw. Relaxation of the face and neck muscles also help to reduce stress.

  19. I wonder how long will I have to do these exercises before I see any results!! I am looking for exercise to take away that fat that’s part of cheek but,continues under the eyes, boy!I hate it.

    Those with more fat will notice immediate change too. This is only clear indication for you that it works. Don’t stop. Continue daily.. If a Change within 30 minutes, imagine the change after 1 month. You don’t become a bodybuilder with perfect abs, calfs, thighs, chest, shoulders, biceps and triceps within a day either.. And yes better to try than to have never tried.. and missed out on a dream facial look..

    good idea to exsercize the face, we need this more advertised out there however not many know about it, instead of facial surgery this i believe would be better unless your trying to change your identity this would be the way to go

    I have a question…it has been said that facial excersies for teenagers or young people (like for an example someone in the age of 16) could actually have the opposite effects and make the skin more saggy…so my question is: Is this a fact? in other words, do facial exercises have the same effect and are safe for all ages?

    I started using the facial exercises a few years go and I found that they really delivered.

    I then strayed, and yes as with any other muscle group, if you don’t use it, you will lose it.

    I am back to using them again and in my 51 years, I find I am looking pretty good. The more I do, the better. :O)

    Here’s another simple skin firming exercise that is really effective. It’s quite easy to follow and you can do this while standing on your feet or sitting on a chair.

    With your head pointing forward, slowly turn your head to the right and maintain this position for about 30 seconds. Go back to your starting position (face forward), and then slowly turn your head to the left. Hold for about 30 seconds.

    Perform three sets of this simple neck exercise at least four times a day and soon, you’ll see great results on your facial and neck muscles.

    Allow me to add more to this though. “Turkey neck” or sagging neck skin is also a problem of many that can easily be resolved by following certain facial and neck exercises.

    One such exercise can be done either while your sitting or standing up:

    Tilt your head backwards and start a “chewing movement”. This will help tone your neck and upper chest muscles. Do this for about 30-45 seconds three times day.

    Another simple “activity” you can do is to actually chew bubble gum. The constant chewing movement actually helps exercise your neck muscles, thus, don’t hesitate to pop that gum in your mouth anytime you want.

    i am 57 years old and i constantly worry about wrinkles and sagging facial skin….my girlfriend told me about the A E I O U exercise. as you say these letters , say them quickly with a pronounced bold form..opening you mouth wide as you say each one. do it 5 times in a row and rest 15 seconds and repeat the same thing again and do 5 sets of 5 3 times a day.
